A Note From My WONDERFUL Foster Parents
Bruce arrived at our house a couple of days ago and we have enjoyed having him around. Two traits define Bruce, he is super sweet and an AMAZING athlete!! He follows you around from room to room and loves to watch you cook. He's a true gentleman. He doesn't whine or beg - he just likes being by your side. When you're sitting down in a chair and you call his name, he will jump up and put his two front paws on your leg. He then waits patiently for you to scratch behind his ears. He LOVES that!
In addition to being a sweet and loving boy, Bruce is also very athletic. He has a fantastic jumping ability and he adores playing fetch with a tennis ball. He would do very well in an active household.
Bruce has excellent manners and has been trained not to jump on the couch. He is also potty trained and LOVES chewing on bones and chasing after balls. We've noticed that Bruce really likes his toys and he might need a tiny bit of help learning how to share. Let's face it, we could all use a little help with that, right??
Bruce is very independent and he would be happy as an "only child." He also loves to play a lot, so he would easily fit in with doggie brothers or sisters in the right family. Overall, Bruce is just an amazing dog and we are really happy that we get to spend this time with him. We know that he will be the perfect new addition to someone's life very soon.

Getting to know the Mighty Bruce . . .
My name is Bruce and I'm looking for my forever family. I think I could be a great dog for either a family or a single person. I'm very versatile and I fit in everywhere! See, I'm old enough to know how to behave, but young enough to still know how to have fun. I'm also very smart and I already know a few commands. Let's face it - I'm perfect!! I'll fit into your life perfectly just as I am. I won't require tons of training or a long adjustment period. I'm ready to go now. That's one advantage I have over puppies. They may be cute, but the messes they make are NOT so cute. When deciding on a new dog, you should always try to find one who is balanced. Well, that's me! I'm all about balance - I'm the perfect balance of activity and snuggles!!
I'm also quite handsome and distinguished, as I'm sure you can see from my pictures! Can't you see me cuddled up next to you on the couch? Or walking with you in the evenings? Or helping you in the garden? I would be an excellent addition to your life, I just know I would!

I'll be your hero!
Do you like to spend time outside? Whether you like gardening, or just sitting outside and reading, or watching birds, I know I'm the right boy for you!! I LOVE to play outside! If you look closely at my picture you can even see the smile on my little face. Look at how happy I am to be outside and just imagine how happy we could be together!! When we're outside together I promise I will keep you safe from all the backyard critters. Are you afraid of squirrels or opossums or lizards?
. . . . Have no fear, Bruce is here!
I will chase them away so you can continue to garden, read, meditate or whatever you happen to be doing in peace! I'm very athletic, so you can feel confident in my ability to protect you - even if I have to scale the fence in the process! I will be your best friend, your constant companion, your hero, and your knight in shining armor!
Did you know that I even have a heroic name? I guess my friends at BTRGH could tell I was something special when they first saw me. They knew I was destined to be your hero! My name originated in 14th century Scotland with a guy called Robert the Bruce. He was a Scottish hero who achieved independence from England and became the King of Scotland. Some of you might remember my namesake from the Hollywood movie Braveheart. I know the true historians out there will no doubt realize that my namesake was was not protrayed accurately in that movie!! Robert the Bruce, much like myself, was a fierce and noble warrior, a cunning strategist and an accomplished diplomat! Wow! That's an impressive combination. Handsome, distinguished, heroic and connections to royalty! I don't think you could find a better dog than me if you searched the whole world over!
If you're looking for a hero, look no further - I'm your boy! And the best part is that if you adopt me, you'll be my hero too. That's right!! If you make room in your heart for me, you'll be the love and light of my life and I'll spend the rest of my days showing you just how wonderful and important you are to me. Will you be my hero??
